How To Turn Bad Luck Around

Many famous individuals, both past and present, did at some stage have something to say about that which we call "Bad Luck". While some chose to look the lion in the eyes, like Catherine of Siena:
"To a brave man, good and bad luck are like his right and left hand. He uses both.",
others have been a bit more contemporary, a bit more human, about it as is the case with Joseph Heller:
The fact of the matter is that bad luck happens to us all at some stage and it is then that we ball our fists to the heavens and cry "Why me?!" in anguish. Not so?
So how do you turn "Bad luck" and turn it into good luck?
The simple and very honest truth is that luck is a matter of perception - how we see it in light of what we expected. In fact, it is possible to go even further and say that we can only experience "Good Luck" when we know "Bad Luck". An analogy that can be used to demonstrate the veracity of the theory is the simple "You won't be able to observe light if you can't observe darkness".
"Enough!" I hear you shout. Good luck seems temporary and bad luck seems to last and last!
True, but you can help good luck along with a couple of simple steps
Do Something for Someone Else When we're down in the dumps the last thing we want to do is help anyone else, I know. But you have to admit that just taking that one step to connect with someone else and make their day better well, makes you happy. The reason for this is that we close up when we're stressed or anxious. We forget that what we really need is people. They not only help us feel better, but they also help us with our problems be it finding a new job, a new boyfriend or girlfriend, etc. So open up and share yourself with someone to lure Lady Fortune back into your garden.
Courage Have courage in the face of adversity it's a rule to live by. Staying positive when times are tough takes far more courage than those situations we fear when we have nothing to worry about (spiders in my case). It builds character and adds nobility to life; it's a story to tell or advice to give.
Work Hard AND Smart There's a reason why things are turning out this way. But don't look back. The best thing you can do for yourself is to put the pedal to the metal and labour away at your soon-to-arrive blue skies. But it pays to work smart, too, to ensure that you set yourself up for more good times rather than just getting rid of misfortune. This will ensure that, when the dark clouds arrive again, you'll be in a better position to take it without flinching and turn it around much quicker.
So take some time to work out a strategy make a list of the things that make you unhappy and plan a routine to get rid of them. And once you have that routine, fine-tune it and stick to it!
